Sun 27/11/16: Waking up to yet another very wet morning suddenly seemed to inspire some temporary madness- if there’s no sun in Spain perhaps there is in the Algarve and so after a quick google so it would seem there was. So with Spain raining and frowning upon us so we headed to the Portuguese border just some 50 miles away. But our fate was in the hands of … [Read more...] about Frango Frenzy

Pukka Pies
Mon 21/11/16: After a very wet rainy night the day started grey as well with weak sunshine trying it’s best to prevail and so we headed off to the nearby port for 2nd coffee and to decide what options there were for the day for us to do. As we drank our coffee the weak sunshine seemed to be winning over the grey clouds and we decided as we were armed with para-aquas to walk … [Read more...] about Pukka Pies
Sore Bums & Full Tums
Mon 14/11/16: With David tearing me off Alison and Cath’s (Beasties) ankles we bade a tearful farewell on my part anyway, but my despair was soon lifted by an earring purchase just along the way (sorry Cath, found the market in the end!) and we collected NiKi from its service in one piece and he positively hummed along the route into the countryside just down from … [Read more...] about Sore Bums & Full Tums
Via Verde de la Sierra and Pueblos Blancos. Motorhome Bliss.
We have spent the past few days in the mountains exploring and cycling the area and touring the Pueblos Blancos, (White Villages) Though we are less than 50 miles from Marbella, it seems were a million miles from the costas. In our lovely van we can get to these places … [Read more...] about Via Verde de la Sierra and Pueblos Blancos. Motorhome Bliss.

The … [Read more...] about Déjà vu
Chocolate for Breakfast
Mon 31/10/16: After a few Happy birthday greetings to those Halloween birthday witches and wizards we settled down to a lovely pancetta sandwich for breakfast- the pancetta being part of our F&S leaving food parcel and I have to say very nice it was too. The sun was shining again and so we hopped on our steely trusty mules and cycled to see the nearby cave … [Read more...] about Chocolate for Breakfast

Squashed Up!
Mon 24/10/16: After a lovely weekend getting back in touch with my wrist again and doing what gentle exercise I thought was appropriate for it we got the call to say I had a proper physio session that afternoon at four. This is beyond any coverage on our health insurance cards and our insurance cover does exactly the opposite of that- it doesn’t cover it. … [Read more...] about Squashed Up!
