Week 1st to 7th May 2017 With the calling of a bacon sandwich and a lakeside view we left Lago di Garda in normal bank holiday weather and traffic heading to one of the lesser known Lago’s that being Lago d’Iseo cradled in a deep glacial valley surrounded by soaring mountains. We were all set to head to Lago di Como but Mr Clooney wasn’t able to make lunch that day, he … [Read more...] about Up Your Dolomites

Just Swanning Around
24th to 30th April Having fled the bad weather, we really enjoyed the glory that is Venice, we decided as the weather in northern Italy was good we would take advantage. This is to us what gives motorhome life its real edge, the ability to change your mind and just swan about, seeing new places and having new adventures. At the same time realising, as I write this in … [Read more...] about Just Swanning Around

A dull town by LP’s description but its point of merit was being in the Parque Nazionale del Circeo-85k of sand dunes, rocky … [Read more...] about What This Olde Thing
First visit to a brothel

That said parking can be a problem so you have to use public transport to get to the sites or walk. To be honest you have to be careful not to get UNESCO’ed out. This is very easy to do and when … [Read more...] about First visit to a brothel
It’s The Little Things
Feb 20-26th We had decided to extend our stay in Sicily by a day for the simple reason that the Tuesday was to be a brighter, sunnier day and the view from Castlemola the hilltop town even higher then Taormina was said to have spectacular views of Mt Etna. So we spent the rather dull Monday food shopping but also venturing slightly further along the coast on … [Read more...] about It’s The Little Things
Sicily, our Marmite journey and on to the Mainland,
Our second full week in Sicily and we veer from loving it to hating it, so very Marmite. Negatives: The roads are simply the worst we have come across including many in Africa! Potholes like craters on the motorways. On top of that, their driving is beyond stupid, we have been unfortunate enough to come across three accidents during the week plus at least 10 near … [Read more...] about Sicily, our Marmite journey and on to the Mainland,
