After Cordoba we took a break of countryside visits. Montilla is the centre of the local version of Sherry fortified with a slight spritz interesting and an acquired taste. Onward and we discovered one of the true joys of Spain ‘Via Verdes‘ near Cabra these are disused railway lines converted to cycle paths, the one that runs through Cabra goes all the way to Jaen. We really loved it here and would recommend it to anyone who likes a cycle without killing yourself!

Again onward over the mountains to Antequera a very pretty town recommend to us by Merv and yes he was right lovely. running out of words for this country. Finally on to Malaga and the Picasso museum, prolific fascinating well worth a visit.
